Dietary requirements

Gluten intolerance/coeliac disease: Due to having a family member with coeliac disease, we’d like to state that we take the cross-contamination measures very seriously, however, we cannot guarantee it. We are yet to be coeliac endorsed.
Vegetarians and Vegans: Most of our dishes are beef and chicken dominated. Due to the slow cooking process, we cannot prepare a veg/vegetarian version for you with short notice or on the spot. However, upon prior request (at least a day) we can cook a veg/vegetarian version of most of our dishes solely for you, substituting the beef or chicken with certain vegetables or our plant based meatballs.
Nut, fructose, & other allergies: Here at Kitchen 55 we try our best to take the cross-contamination measures seriously, however, we cannot guarantee it. With that said, for the love of food, & the tasty Persian cuisine our aim is to cater for everybody without having to sacrifice the taste of our dishes.
- We use onion in the process of cooking/frying/marinating most of the beef & chicken that would then be added to our stews or served alongside our rice dishes. However, we still might be able to skip the process for you if applicable.
-Walnuts, Pistachios & Almonds: Apart from Walnuts that are the main ingredient for Anar bij & Fesenjoon & zeytoon parvarde (marinated olives), Pistachios & Almonds are mainly used as a garnish for our rice dishes, these could easily be avoided, just make sure to let us know about your allergy (if the dish is garnished with pistachios & almonds), & with extra care, we make sure to skip the garnishing process for you, use uncontaminated utensils etc.
-Pistachios and Almonds are crucial ingredients for 2 of our desserts, saffron rice pudding & our saffron ice cream & cannot be extracted unfortunately (unless a batch was completely made for you upon prior request).
